What Brews Inside
Not a chatbot. A campaign.
Most AI games are a conversation you close and forget. The Cauldron is a text-based table — you write, the DM answers in kind, and a hidden engine keeps the whole world turning between your visits.
Purely Text-Based
No combat maps, no miniatures, no busywork — the entire game is played in words. You write what you do, the DM narrates what happens, and your imagination renders the graphics — with full TTS & STT support for a touchless experience. The oldest kind of role-playing, powered by the newest kind of mind.
A Persistent World
Behind the scenes, every turn is distilled into durable facts — people, promises, grudges and discoveries — re-ranked before every reply, with superseded truths retired automatically. Leave for a season; the innkeeper still remembers what you did, and who you did it with.
Create Your Own Avatars
Give every face at the table a portrait. Your adventurer, the NPCs you meet, even the DM — each avatar is painted by AI from the character’s own story, and can be rerolled until it feels right. StepFun painting is free for everyone — and Patron (one-time 30€) unlocks Wan 2.7 Pro & Qwen Image 3 Pro, the premium image engines.
Strict D&D 5e Ruleset
Initiative, action economy, advantage, saving throws — real rolls with real stakes. The DM narrates everything; the Lorekeeper keeps the books. A natural 20 still feels like lightning.
Save & Export
Save and export almost every piece of your adventures — NPCs, avatars, characters and all dialogue — as a single .zip. The story is yours; it leaves the cauldron with you, faces and all. Export unlocks with the one-time Patron top-up (30€).
Powered by Qwen, DeepSeek, StepFun & Wan
Choose the mind behind the mask — frontier models for narration, extraction and image craft, with transparent token usage and reasoning you can watch as it happens. Wan 2.7 Pro & Qwen Image 3 Pro painting unlock with the one-time Patron top-up.
The Forge — Carry Your Legend
Every adventurer you summon is saved in The Forge — full sheet, level, items, gold and story intact. Start a new adventure any time and walk back in as the same adventurer: your history travels with you, the new world has no idea what you're capable of.

Questions, answered
Free AI D&D — no fine print
Is this AI D&D roleplaying game really free?
Yes. The Lore Weaver's Cauldron is free to play — no subscription, no credit card, no email required. You get 50 fresh turns every single day.
How many free turns do I get each day?
50 fresh turns every day — more daily free turns than any other AI Dungeon Master. Each turn is one action or reply in your campaign.
What is an AI Dungeon Master?
An AI Dungeon Master is an LLM that runs your D&D campaign — narrating the world, keeping strict 5e rules, and remembering your story across sessions. The Cauldron pairs it with a persistent world engine, real dice ceremony, and AI-painted portraits.
Does the AI Dungeon Master remember my campaign?
Yes — the Lorekeeper engine tracks story threads, characters, growth, quests and NPCs across every session, so the innkeeper still remembers what you did last season.
The Gate
Swear yourself in.
- Free, forever. 50 fresh turns every day. No card, no hourglass, no metered fate.
- Your identity stays yours. We don’t log who you are at the table — no names to the ledger, no tracking of players.
- No subscription, ever. One-time Patron purchase when it feels right — or donate whatever the realm is worth to you.
No rules to memorize before you start. The DM teaches you as you play — or enforces them strictly, if you prefer the iron road.

What’s new in the realm
v1.3 — The Rewoven Thread- Undo your last turn New — mistyped a line, or changed your mind the moment you hit send? The last message, the DM's reply and every change the Lorekeeper recorded from it are rewound together: inventory, gold, HP, quests, the journal and the memory return to where they stood. It costs one turn, and only the most recent turn can be rewound.
- Qwen 3.8 Flash is free for everyone New — a fast mind with real reasoning joins the free picker. Choose it in Settings, or when you start a new adventure.
- The party portrait blends again Fixed — the character card had gone opaque and left the portrait as a small square beside it; the image now sits behind the name, class and health bars the way it used to.
- Your blade rolls, the DM does not New — weapon damage now tumbles through the server's dice engine on every hit, doubled on a critical; enemy blows have always worked that way. The story decides what it feels like, the dice decide what it costs.
- Conditions that actually bind New — prone, restrained, stunned and poisoned now change rolls, turns and HP between rounds. A knocked-down goblin is easier to hit, and it hits worse.
- Level-ups that level up New — reaching a new tier grants hit-dice health, class features, spell slots and a proficiency bonus that finally scales with who you have become.
- A rulebook that matches the machine — the mechanics page was audited line by line against the code and rewritten where it promised more than it delivered; spell slots and rests are documented at last.
- Truer day-to-day play — armour now moves your AC, long rests hand back half your hit dice, quests pay what they promise, and a purse can no longer be quietly rounded to zero.
- One gold across the realm — the palette was consolidated into shared tokens, HP bars update on every combat turn, and offline rolls announce themselves honestly.
- Returning heroes skip the tutorial — the onboarding steps fold away once you have an adventure, and the realm speaks your language through the whole quota ledger.
